Columbus, OH ---- The U.S. Trotting Association announced on Friday that the 2013 edition of “Back to the Track” is scheduled for the weekend of Friday (July 5) through Sunday (July 7). In addition, the USTA released the new logos for this year’s event and activated the Back to the Track website.

“After the first three years, Back to the Track has become a special event that fans mark on their calendars,” said USTA Executive Vice President and CEO Mike Tanner in making the announcement. “It’s a weekend that harness racing fans have come to enjoy, and hopefully, they will invite their family and friends to join them in July.”

Back to the Track is a cooperative effort among the USTA, its member racetracks and horsemen from coast to coast. Now in its fourth year, the promotion has provided fans across the country with exciting days and nights of harness racing combined with fan-friendly and fun promotions at more than 20 different racetracks each year since 2010.

In an effort to invite lapsed fans “back to the track” as well as to attract new fans to the excitement of the racetrack experience, each track will offer their own variety of promotions, including special giveaways, admission and concession discounts, “behind the scenes tours,” special wagers and handicapping seminars/contests, family activities and live demonstrations featuring Standardbred horses.
