Before Jimmy Takter won a division of the Bluegrass Stakes at The Red Mile Sunday afternoon (Sept. 30) with Tactical Landing, his elder brother, Johnny Takter, had won the biggest race for 3-year-old trotters in Sweden, The Svenskt Trav Kriterium at Solvalla.

While Tactical landing was an odds-on favorite, Johnny Takter drove the 19-1 shot Inti Boko to the win in Sweden.

Inti Boko, who is sired by Chocolatier, raced for just the sixth time in his career and now has five wins and one second. Inti Boko earned $450,000 for the win.

Inti Boko is trained by Finnish-born Timo Nurmos, who now has trained seven winners of the Kriterium since 2006.

For Johnny Takter, who has won so many big races all over the world, this was his first win in the Kriterium.

Johnny Takter was behind the favorite in the Oaks, A Sweet Dance, but she was not in the mood for racing and finished unplaced. Instead Conrads Rödluva, driven by Ôrjan Kihlström and trained by Daniel Redén, won the Oaks with a purse for the winner of $160,000. Conrads Rödluva, who was sired by SJ’s Caviar, has now raced seven times and has four wins.
