Eaton, OH --- It is pure Americana fun and entertainment and it's alive and well again at the 168th Preble County Fair on Sunday (July 29) and Monday (July 30) with a 4 p.m. post time on Sunday and a 1 p.m. starting time on Monday as the excitement and action of harness racing returns with the Ohio Colt Racing Association stakes for 2- and 3-year-old pacers and trotters on Eaton's historic oval.

Harness racing has always been a beloved sport in Preble County and you can relive the thrills, sights, and sounds that entertained everyone just like it did when your great-grandparents were mere pups.

The Speed Committee of Clinnie Stevenson, Jim Ray, and Jim Roach have put together a select program of OCRA youngsters as well as the Signature Series FFA Pace and the Ohio Ladies Pace Series, both on Sunday. The Ohio Ladies Pace Series is part of a summer-long event that is truly a battle every week as our talented gals are very competitive.

On Monday there is a Signature Series Trot to go along with more OCRA stakes.

Along with the fun and the friends be sure to stop by the Racing With The Stars tent to spin the wheel for trivia, prizes, and laughs on Sunday. You'll also get to play Text Trivia from the comfort of your phone as several times during Sunday evening we'll be asking questions that can be easily answered with info in your program.

An added feature this year is the Ohio Harness Horsemen's Association's Racing With The Stars 2018 fan contest. Just fill out an entry blank before the scheduled RWTS race and when your name is announced come on over to draw a horse's number. If your horse wins, you are in the winner's circle for the celebration like an owner. You'll get a copy of the official win photo and an OHHA prize package that includes a $25 grocery gift certificate. It's open to all. No age limits. And it's all free. And you'll be making memories with your family and friends that will last for years to come.
