John W. Blackwell, lifelong resident of the Freehold, N.J., area, died Nov. 14, 2016. He was 69.
Best known for his love of horses, Mr. Blackwell transported racehorses for stables in and around Monmouth County for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Woolfolk Blackwell, and daughters Yolanda Blackwell and Shavon Coleman.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 22) at Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, NJ.
