George Luchento, 67, dies

Freehold, NJ --- George Luchento, 67, brother of horseman Tom Luchento, died Aug. 5, 2016.

Tom Luchento is the former president of the Standardbred Breeders & Owners Association of New Jersey and former owner-operator of the restaurant Luchento’s.

George Luchento was from Easton, Pa., and was the retired Vice President/Global IT Vendor Management and Procurement for National Starch & Chemical. He earned his bachelor's degree in industrial management at Seton Hall University and his MS in computer science from Pratt Institute.

Mr. Luchento is survived by his wife, Alice Danow Luchento; daughter, Janet Luchento-De Nise; granddaughter, Allison; brothers, Tom and Michael; and father, Nat.
