Pocomoke City, MD --- The Great Pocomoke City Fair is proud to announce plans for a day of harness racing action to be held starting at 12:45, on Saturday August 2nd, at the Great Pocomoke City Fair Grounds.

Entries will be accepted on-line, through the USTA’s electronic entry system or by phone to Director of Racing Mike Wandishin at 240-447-3627 or to Chuck Barnes 443-235-9009 or 410-957-2020   Entries must be made by noon on Wednesday, July 30.

If there are ten or fewer races the minimum purse is guaranteed at $750. It is the policy of the Great Pocomoke City Fair to only have five starters per race for safety reasons and to ensure that all starters earn a check.

In order for a horse to race at Pocomoke a horse is required to have electronic eligibility before entering. NO entries accepted without them.

If enough participants desire, sanctioned races with charted lines will be held, if not the races will be exhibition only as has been the custom at Pocomoke, with one exception.

The usual assortment of exhibition races will be carded including: The Jack Dolby Stars of the Future, The Senior Pace, The Heavyweight Challenge, The Powder Puff Derby and, of course, The Dash For Cash.
