Donald Stevens, 85, dies

Batavia, NY --- Donald F. Stevens, 85, died on June 30, 2014.

Mr. Stevens, who trained Standardbreds along with his late wife, Mary, campaigned the Donald and Mary Stevens stable for many years in Western New York.

Some of the stars of their racing stable included Open distaff pacer Princess Dee Dee; a son of Princess Dee Dee, Mr Buxx; and Hyper Adios.

He is survived by four grandchildren, Rodney Neuffer, Jim Ceratt, Ronald Ceratt and Robert Quinn; several great-grandchildren, including Donald Neuffer; sister, Gladys Carter; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 11 a.m. on July 12 at Parma Union Cemetery.
