Kelsey's Commando won her DSBF split in 2:00.1.

Owned by Richard Lombardo, JJ&M Stable and Pam Wagner, Kelsey’s Commando sat a pocket trip before swinging wide, drifting briefly toward the middle of the track, approaching the three-quarters and eventually reeling in pacesetter Oso Grateful for a narrow in 2:00.1. Linbo Love finished third. Trained by Josh Green, it was the first win in four 2014 starts for Kelsey's Commando.

Art Stafford Jr. and Wyatt Starkey’s Overnight Hit captured the other division with a front-stepping triumph in 2:00. The Giant Hit-sired filly never had an anxious moment in her pacesetting two-length win over Bella’s Spunkin and Way Over Paid. It was the third win in four 2014 starts for Overnight Hit for trainer/driver/co-owner Stafford Jr.

Overnight Hit was a 2:00 winner.

Driver Jim Morand had a triple on the program, while Victor Kirby recorded two wins.

The DSBF stakes continue Wednesday as I Like My Boss (9/5, Jon Roberts) looks to keep his unblemished 9-for-9 record intact in one of two divisions for trotting colts. Trained by Bob Shahan, I Like My Boss drew post two in the second division, scheduled ninth on the 15-race program.

The eighth race is the first division with Winbak Farm’s Call Me Hall (5/2, Jeff Fout) the morning line pick after a runner-up mile to I Like My Boss in a DSBF prep race on June 10. DSBF round two competition will continue through next week beginning Sunday June 22 with the 3-year-old pacing colts.

The $100,000 DSBF finals for all divisions will take place Thursday July 24 (special 7 p.m. post time) on Governor’s Day during the Delaware State Fair.

Post time is 5:30 p.m.
