Pandy's Meadowlands $50,000 Guaranteed Pick-4 with 15% Takeout, Races 7-10, Saturday, May 24, by Bob Pandolfo
No luck last night, out $27.00. I hit the Pick-4 on two nights in a row, last Friday, and the prior Saturday. Friday night, for 50 cents it paid $176.65. I had it once on the Whale ticket, which was $48.00. Championship Meet totals: Standard Ticket 7 plays - $103.10. Whale ticket: 4 plays +108.55.
For the winter meet, I had one hit for $1,144.50 on the Whale Ticket and no winners on the Standard tickets. Winter Meet totals: 44 plays, 0 hits - $1,236.00. Whale Ticket: 17 plays, 1 hit, - $2938.50
Standard ticket: $0.50 cent play: 67/124/4/1489 = $12.00
Whale ticket: $0.50 cent play: 67/1249/347/148910 = $60.00
Race 7: In the first leg, there are two sharp horses coming off big wins at this C-2 level, Dragon Lore, and Meirs Hanover. If one of them doesn't win, the Pick-4 will probably pay big.
Race 8: Pretty wide open. Long Live Rock just won at this level two back. See And Ski has been a disappointment but fits well here. Rusty Skipp is my top pick moving back inside with Callahan.
Race 9: I think we can get through this race with three, Shadios, Lyonssomewhere, and Jeneral Patton. I have a feeling that Lyonssomewhere is going to be tough first time out for Takter off the sharp qualifier, and the colt is two for two, so I'm going to single him on my standard ticket.
Race 10: This is a tough race. I'm going to use all four of my listed contenders, 1, 4, 8, and 9.
