Uncle Peter prepared for the Elitlopp with a training session on Monday.

After his fifth place in the May 11 Copenhagen Cup, he has been stabled in Southern Sweden and on Monday (May 19) he was prepped by Tommy Zackrisson, Derby winning trainer, who has stables at the Kalmar Trav.

Uncle Peter trotted handily around the Kalmar track, which is a five-eighths-mile track, and the clock said 2:00f.

"I think he is spot on," Zackrisson said afterwards. "This is a fantastic trotter. He’s just like Peace Crops, who I drove many years ago."

The next two days Uncle Peter will train lightly, but on Thursday he will have some more serious intervals at Zackrisson’s farm before he heads to Solvalla on Saturday.

Anette Zackrisson is the reason why Uncle Peter is stabled at Tommy Zackrisson's farm; it’s a father and daughter combination.
