Campbellville, ON --- He's Watching, last year's Dan Patch Award winner as the sport's top 2-year-old pacing male, qualified for the second time in 2014 Friday morning (May 16) at Mohawk Racetrack.

The talented sophomore was a wrapped-up winner by more than 14 lengths in 1:52.1 in the hands of driver Jody Jamieson.

As previously reported, He's Watching will make his first pari-mutuel start in the Art Rooney Pace at Yonkers Racetrack on Saturday (May 24).

Last season the youngster set two world records along with six track records for trainer and co-owner David Menary.

He's Watching continues to remain a top candidate for this year's C$1 million Pepsi North America Cup on June 14 at Mohawk Racetrack. A mere $3,000 yearling purchase, the son of American Ideal boasts a 1:50 speed badge along with $291,722 in earnings.

He is also owned by Brad Gray, Michael Guerriero and Muscara Racing Trust.

Following Friday morning's qualifying session, Menary spoke with WEG's Communications Department. To watch the video, click this link.
