Victory Is Coming sets track record at Miami Valley

Lebanon, OH---Victory Is Coming, the lone mare facing eight distinguished male competitors, swept to an all-age track record 1:54.1 clocking in winning the $10,000 Open Trot at Miami Valley Raceway on Friday night (April 11).

Trainer-driver Ammon Hershberger got away third from the seven-hole in the full field of nine then tipped to the outside just past the half.  The 7-year-old daughter of Victory Sam was second at the three-quarter-mile marker, cleared to the lead at the head of the stretch and cruised to the wire 1-3/4 lengths ahead of Quick N Silver (Dan Noble) and Final Breath (Hugh Beatty Jr.) in the record-setting performance. 

Owned by Betty and John 'Red' Shaw, Victory Is Coming now has 43 career victories in just 94 tries and $460,090 in total earnings.
