Favored Bella's Spunkin was a 2:01.1 winner in her DSBF division.

Allan Davis drove Bella’s Spunkin right to the lead and cut all the fractions en route to an easy 2:01.1 victory in the first of two $20,000 divisions. Stop The Jade Farm owns the homebred daughter of Super Punk-Nubella who is now two-for-two this year for trainer Joe King. Oso Grateful (George Dennis) was second from the start with Gogh Gogh (Tony Morgan) third.

Art Stafford, Jr. sat on the rail with Overnight Hit while favorite Kelsey’s Commando (Vic Kirby) took the lead on the backstretch. Trainer-driver Stafford pulled the Giant Hit-Overnight Rail filly to the outside and tracked down the leader to post a 1:58 victory for owners Stafford and Wally Starky. Kelsey’s Commando held on for second while Even Brighter (Bret Brittingham) closed to take third.

The top eight point-getters return next week for $100,000 DSBF finals.

Corey Callahan, Ross Wolfenden and Allan Davis had three wins apiece; Vic Kirby, Tony Morgan and trainer John Cabot had two winners each.
