Vernon, NY --- Vernon Downs racing applications are due March 15 and the barn area will open April 1.
The 2014 season begins on Friday (April 11) and continues until Saturday (Nov. 1).
Applications can be returned via mail to Vernon Downs, c/o Scott Warren–Director of Racing, P.O. Box 860, Vernon, NY 13476, via e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org, or via fax 315.829.3364.
For inquiries to race or any questions please contact the Race Office at Vernon (315.829.6825) or the e-mail provided above. All horsemen, including ship-ins, that intend to race at Vernon Downs must fill out an application.
Horsemen should be aware that all horses are required to have a negative Coggins & EHV-1 Vaccination Certificate within the last year. All horses shipping in must have a current Health Certificate within the last 30 days and is required only for your first start. Failure to provide proper paperwork will result in denied access to the backstretch.
