Fast Ruffles (Ron Pierce), coming off a 10-length victory in her division of the Bluegrass Stakes last week at The Red Mile, followed up with another win, this one in the $105,700 International Stallion-White Birch Farm Stakes for two-year-old pacing fillies on Thursday afternoon.
Art's Bid (Andy Miller) was first to the lead, in :28.3, with Cabrini Hanover (Mike Lachance) quickly moving to that spot and holding it to the :56.2 half.  By the 1:25.2 three-quarters, Fast Ruffles was alongside to challenge and the two paced together around the final turn.
When the two straightened out for home, Fast Ruffles had inched into the lead and she improved on it down the stretch to win by a length in 1:52.3. Art's Bid was second and Bound For Glory (Dave Palone) was third, with favored 4-5 Cabrini Hanover in fourth and Copywriter in fifth.
Fast Ruffles, trained by Brett Pelling and owned by Frederick Hertrich and Lew Arno, has now won three races in six starts with a career best time of 1:52.
