Pompano Beach, FL --- Pompano Park is pleased to announce the addition of an onsite World Harness Handicapping Championship qualifier to be held on Saturday (March 15), where the top two finishers will not only earn cash prizes, but also a seat into the $60,000 World Harness Handicapping Championship to be held April 19 at the Meadowlands.
The contest will cost $99 to enter, $60 of which will be used for the contestants' wagering card for the night, with the remaining $39 going towards the prize pool which will be paid out to the top four finishers.
Entries will be taken up until the night of the event, but entries paid prior to Saturday (March 8) at 11:30 p.m. will automatically be entered into an early-bird drawing for six $50 cash vouchers given out prior to the March 15 live racing program.
Contestants will be limited to four entries per person. The seats to the World Harness Handicapping Championship are valued at $800. Round-trip airfare and two nights of accommodations will also be provided to the winners. The payouts for the contest are as follows:
The entire Pompano Park live card will be used as part of the contest, where contestants must choose exactly six races to bet a minimum of $10 to win, place, or win and place. There are no mandatory races.
