Sunday's (Feb. 9) edition of Racing Roundup features a results story from Dover Downs.

Wahine, driven by Jim Morand, won the $9,500 male pace in 1:52.1.

Dover, DE---Wahine took the lead in front of the toteboard and held on to score a 1:52.1 victory in the feature race at Dover Downs on Sunday (Feb. 9) amid snow flurries. Ron Pierce had four driving wins.

Jim Morand was at the controls for Josh Parker and Nanticoke Racing’s Wahine, who dropped down in class from the Open ranks to overcome eight foes in the $9,500 Male pace. Les Givens conditions the I Am A Fool-Armbro Wahine 5-year-old gelding who won for the 10th time in his career, annexing 184,441 lifetime. Cams Art (Bret Brittingham) finished second, edging fast-finishing Woodstock Hanover.

Corey Callahan, Morand and trainer Josh Greene had driving doubles. 

Jeremes Sweetheart, after a nose-victory edging Cooking The Books last week, gets the outside in the Monday $20,000 Open Handicap pace feature.

Monday through Thursday post time is 4:30 p.m. There is no live racing on Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday post time is 4:30 p.m.
