James Wagner, 69, dies

Temple Hills, MD --- James "Jimmy" Leland Wagner, 69, of Gambrills, Md., died Dec. 18, 2013.

Mr. Wagner was born to the late Earl Martin and Wilma Juanita Wagner on March 20, 1944.

His father passed along his love of Standardbred racing to Jimmy and his brother, John. For many years the three could be found at the barn at Rosecroft Raceway training the horses.

He was the father of Carie A. (Todd) Wiedel, Duane M. Wagner and the late James D. Wagner; grandfather of James T. Wagner, Madison A. Wiedel, Cameron R. Wiedel, Shelby L. Wagner, Kendel E. Wagner and Cheynne P. Wagner.

Family and friends will gather on Monday (Dec. 23) at the Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, Md.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
