Kentucky Racing Commission votes to change medication rules

Columbus, OH --- The Louisville Courier-Journal is reporting that Kentucky’s horse racing regulators voted Wednesday to change medication rules, bringing the state closer to becoming the 11th racing jurisdiction to adopt a proposed uniform rule that supporters hope will be followed nationwide.

The changes received unanimous approval, with the exception of a Standardbred racing change that drew 'no' votes from Standardbred breeder and USTA director Alan Leavitt and attorney Tom Conway.
