Race 5: (1) Celebrity Stimulus had the misfortune of going first up against the streaking Howes Magic in the slop; gamely held show. (4) Ronan ships in off lifetime best mile at Harrah's Philadelphia and finds a good spot to use his speed. Gets Sears in local debut and knows his way around four turns. (7) Fifty Shades continues to race in sharp form and has raced well at Yonkers, post only knock.
Race 6: (4) Ralbar had tough spot in the Yonkers slop last time following two sharp speed tries prior, one resulting in a win against lesser. Reunites with Bartlett who will likely send him down the road again. (6) Ideal Rowan had little in local debut, trying to rally through :27.4 final panel in race he likely needed. Switches to Sears and has the ability to go well at this level.
Race 7: (5) Nitro's Wiggle comes off a strong try at Pocono in a race where he likely bled. Adds lasix in half-mile debut and has shown some potential in just six career starts. (8) Ser Jon held his ground late, chasing fast mile at Saratoga in last. Two back was a monster parked out mile at the Meadowlands, outgaming his field to score on the wire, defeating pacer who came back to wire the field in 1:53.1 at The Big M this past Saturday. Sophomore was short in lone Yonkers start but returns improved and has proven he can rough it from spots like this.
Race 8: (4) Bruisen N Cruisen has had tough posts in first two tries at reduced level, the latest effort in the slop. Moves inside and can improve at a price tonight. (1) Cruising Yankee had little in identical 1:52.2 miles at the Meadowlands and Pocono in last two. Was claimed in last Pocono try and now switches to Yonkers and gets the pole in second try for barn that usually does well with its claims.
Race 9: (2) Machman had brutal parked the mile trip from eight hole at Harrah's Philadelphia in latest. Was claimed out of the race and now ships to Yonkers at a level he should fit well at and gets a good spot to use his speed. (4) Fox Valley Action drops to winning level and will likely get a quick pace to close off of if Bartlett opts that route. (5) Trip Hanover is a 4-year-old that is in career best form right now and has dominated at this level in recent weeks.
