New Kent, VA --- Ronnie Wrenn, Jr., North America's leading dash-winning driver, competed at Colonial Downs for the first time on Saturday afternoon (Sept. 21) and won four of the seven races he appeared in.

Wrenn raced at Cleveland’s Northfield Park on Friday night and collected a win, three seconds and a pair of thirds. The 27-year-old connected in Virginia Saturday aboard Elvis Returns (1:56), Gordieisanartist (1:49.4), Wanna Win (1:52.4) and Pinkpolosocks (1:53.3), all of whom set new life marks over the one turn mile track. Wrenn also scored a pair of runner-up finishes.
Gordieisanartist made his 162nd career start in a $3,500 conditioned pace against five other foes. The 7-year-old Real Artist horse wired the field and coasted home to a comfortable six length win over Jasperthat A.
Trained by Dean Eckley for Kurt Sugg, Gordieisanartist shattered his previous lifetime mark of 1:53.2 by three and three-fifths seconds. The consistent pacer has finished first or second in seven of his last ten starts.
Wrenn will compete in six races Sunday afternoon at Colonial Downs. Post time is 1 p.m.
