Goshen, NY --- Founded in 1949, the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame, located in Goshen, N.Y., is dedicated to the documentation and celebration of the American Standardbred horse and the American-born sport of harness racing.
The Museum’s Education Department plans and facilitates, on a local and national level, interpretive tours and programs that introduce the Standardbred to students, scout groups, 4-H groups, adult tours, Museum visitors and the general public.
The Education Coordinator evaluates, develops, implements and supervises the Museum’s educational programs with the goal of enhancing the public’s understanding of its collections and resources. The programs employ a variety of media and techniques including exhibitions, printed materials, demonstrations, classes, tours, films, lectures, special events, workshops, and school or other outreach programs.
This position may require occasional travel. Successful candidates must pass a background check prior to hire.
