Hancock County Fair to Race for the Cure

The Hancock County Fair Board and area horsemen, in partnership with the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Northwest Ohio, will Race for the Cure this Thursday, Aug. 29 at the Hancock County Fairgrounds. Immediately following races three and seven on the nine race card, local dignitaries and celebrities will “race.”

Scheduled to race are Hancock County Sheriff Michael E. Heldman, Findlay Mayor Lydia Mihalik, Hancock County Fair Board President Tom Warren, local radio talent Vaughn Wickerham and breast cancer survivors Kara Ward and Cathy Lauck.

In addition to the monies raised in the charity races on wagering and the donations of local businesses as sponsors, the Foundation will also be selling T-shirts and accepting donations from the public.

Post time at the Hancock County Fair on Thursday will be at 5:30 p.m.
