Rosecroft opens race office Wednesday at 11 a.m.

Ft. Washington, MD--Rosecroft will draw for its opening night Saturday card (March 9) tomorrow. Normally this spring the box will be open from noon to 2 p.m., but for one day only tomorrow entries will be taken from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The condition sheet is available at either http://www.rosecroft.com/or http://horsemen.ustrotting.com/conditions.cfm.

As the norm, female pacers and young trotters race on Saturday, with the male pacers and older trotters on Tuesday night.

As a reminder, scratch time is Thursday morning at 10 a.m. and the judge’s phone number is 301-567-4600 or 301-567-4500 extension 526 or 527.

Rosecroft will draw the Tuesday night (March 12) card on Thursday with the box open noon to 2 p.m. Qualifiers will be held Saturday at 5 p.m. and that box will close at 3 p.m. on Thursday.

Horsemen are reminded that horses need Coggins tests that are good through June 2, 2013, in order to race or qualify at Rosecroft this spring.

The Race Office phone number is 301-567-4401 or 4435. Rosecroft will be offering purses which average $50,000 a night this meet an increase of 33 percent from the Fall 2012 meeting.

At this point, with the winter storm approaching, Thursday morning training hours of 8 a.m. to noon are still on and an announcement to their possible cancellation will be made by 5 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.
