World champion Somebeachsomewhere, whose first American crop broke all siring records in 2012, was represented by his first Australian winner when the 2-year-old filly Whereibylong saluted at Tabcorp Park, Menangle, on Tuesday afternoon (March 5).

Having her first start, the filly came from last in the five-horse field to win by 10 meters in 1:58.7. With Robbie Morris at the reins, she scooted over the last 800 meters in :57.8 seconds.

An Australian Pacing Gold sale graduate, the filly is the second foal of the Fake Left mare Bylong Bele 1:56.6 ($166,671), a feature race winner at Harold Park (NSW) and Gold Coast (Queensland).
