Chester, PA --- Harrah’s Philadelphia has announced the addition of their horsemens’ text messaging service. Updates on race office information, including upcoming deadlines, as well as classes which are short for the day’s draw, will become available instantly with the mass text messaging.

Information such as deadlines and races which are short of entries are extremely time-sensitive, and getting these details into the hands of trainers instantly will be as easy as a few key strokes. A text blast with pertinent information will reach all horsemen subscribed to the service, and a trainer with a horse that is interested in entering a race may then call the Race Office to help fill a race.

Subscribing to the service is easy. Horsemen may text the word “Chester” from their mobile phone to 84700. They will receive a confirmation text with more instructions. Once all instructions are followed, subscribers will receive all text messages generated by the race office at Harrah’s Philadelphia.

There is no charge to subscribe to the service, which is powered by Sumotext. Standard message and data rates charged by your carrier may apply.

Racing action resumes at Harrah’s Philadelphia on Friday (March 8) with a special post time of 6:30 p.m. After that, racing days are Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with a post time of 12:40 p.m.
