Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 7-10, Friday, March 1, 2013

Last night's results: Lots of longshots last night and the Pick-4 paid $13,397. I had Boinga at $21.80 but that was it. Tonight's sequence looks difficult.

$1 play: 3578/28/35/3510 = $48

Analysis:

Race 7: I'm using all four of my contenders here, (3) Mugshot Jess, (5) Vaporstar, (7) Il Mago, and (8) Waldorf Hall. Vaporstar broke as the favorite in last and the others all come off solid efforts.

Race 8: (2) Unred Hanover returned to the races with a sharp win in last and is my top pick. She steps up but may be even sharper tonight. (8) Best Boss comes off a layoff but is a must use with a driver change to top driver Gingras.

Race 9: (3) Upfront Billy comes off a layoff but Tetrick took this one over two others and this 4-year-old trotter beat some stakes horses last year. (5) Top Billing qualified well for Andy and Julie Miller and they can get them ready.

Race 10: This is a tough mile and a sixteenth trot with 12 horses in the race. (3) Twin B Navigator hasn't won in a long time but is tough to dismiss with Gingras. (5) Heidi Falls is 20-1 on the morning line but drops and gets a better spot and he really didn't have much of a chance in last two starts; should improve here. (10) Blomkvist has the speed to get into contention from post 10.
