Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 7-10, Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013

Last week's results: Last Thursday my picks were good but I missed the tough ninth race. In the other three races my top pick won, including a $12 winner, and my single and Best Bet won the seventh. The Pick-3 paid more than $1,200. The horse I missed I had listed as my fourth choice. I played a $16 ticket.

On Friday the Pick-4 paid $7,693. I had $17.40 Fool Revenue but nothing else and lost $48.

Saturday the Pick-4 paid $4,235. It looked tough to hit and I only had one of the four. My ticket was $48.

$1 play: 135/359/37/1511= $54

Analysis:

Race 7: (1) Corky Baran and (3) Come On Ridge are the two most obvious but my top pick is (5) Takeshigemichi, who may improve in second start back.

Race 8: Pretty wide open trot here. (3) Through The Night closed in :27. (5) Canadian Wildcat also finished well over the track in last. (9) Boinga has good speed.

Race 9: (3) He's A Beachboy ships in off a solid effort and gets leading driver Gingras. (7) Dragon King should be the favorite here. He finished second in a pretty quick mile for this type last week and has speed.

Race 10: I used three here. (1) Carolstern closes well but has missed some action. (5) Cammi Place drops and gets a better spot. (11) Ladybones has shown a good brush and is a contender from the second tier in a wide open race.
