Monochromatic wins another Mares Open Handicap at Dover
Dover, DE --- Monochromatic won the $23,000 Mares Open Handicap pace for the fourth time this year on Monday, Feb. 25 and has stamped herself as one of the leaders for the Horse of the Meet Award at season’s end at Dover Downs.

Dylan Davis trains the Dream Away--Miss Ty 8-year-old for North State Street Stables of Dover, Del. The win was her fourth of 2013 with one second while earning $52,900. With her 37th career win, Monochomatic has now won $604,770, lifetime. Shine N Shimmer with Eric Carlson got up to nose Southwind Jazmin for second money.
Northfield Park
Artiovacular paced home for his 50th career victory on Monday, Feb. 25 at Northfield Park. The 13-year-old has 296 career starts and has finished second and third 49 and 45 times, respectively. Artiovacular (Artiscape--Mattastrophic, by Matt’s Scooter) has career earnings of $293,316 and a lifetime mark of 1:51.1, taken at Balmoral Park at age 10. The pacer’s richest win was for a purse of $13,700 in a $35,000 claiming race at Maywood Park, in 2004. Sharon Dalke of Riverdale, Mich. owns Artiovascular and David Lake trains and drove the gelding to this milestone triumph. Despite garnering 49 previous victories and drawing the rail, Artiovacular returned $22.80 to win. The veteran pacer received a perfect trip and finished a head better than his closest competition, stopping the clock in 2:00.
