Shark On Board overtook race favorite Kenzie’s Beach Boy in the stretch to score a 1:53.3 triumph in the Saturday afternoon $10,000 3,4&5-year-old feature pace during occasional snow-flurries at Dover Downs on Feb. 16. After two straight front-pacing second place finishes losing by a neck each time, trainer-driver Frank Milby elected to race Shark On Board from-off-the-pace and it worked out successfully for his first win of 2013. Milby sat second behind the popular-choice Kenzie’s Beach Boy (Ross Wolfenden) and then pulled to the outside at the top of the stretch to rush past the leader by mid-stretch on the way to victory. Irwin Samelman, a long-time Milby family patron, owns the 4-year-old altered son of Cam’s Card Shark-Cannae Peach. Avanza (Brad Hanners) was the third finisher.
