The Junior Trensetter series got underway on Friday night at the Meadowlands with Humility winning the first division in 1:52.4.
The Junior Trendsetter series got underway a week late following last Friday’s cancellation due to the blizzard.  The first division saw Humility, making his first start of his 3-year-old season a winning one for driver Tim Tetrick, trainer Tony Alagna and owner Jodi Siamis, IA, defeating his stable mate, the heavily favored Wilcox in 1:52.4.  The second division featured a popular win by A Bettor World (1:52.4) who led from start to finish for driver Dave Miller and trainer Aaron Lambert.  A Bettor World is owned by J&T Silva Stables, LLC, NY and Kenneth Tucci, NJ. Resistance Futile took the third and fastest division in 1:51.1 for driver Andy Miller over Axiom Hanover and Power Rock. Robert Siegelman trains Resistance Futile for owners Robert Burgess, ON, Karin Olsson Burgess, ON, Champagne Stable, ON and James Walker, ON. Round two of the series continues next Friday.

The action at the betting windows was fast and furious once again.  By night’s end the bettors sent $3,218,851 through the windows.  That total handle marked an increase of 32% from this same Friday in 2012.  In addition, the live handle also showed an increase of 20% from this day in 2012.  Racing returns on Saturday featuring the second round of The Exit 16W Series with first post time at 7:15 P.M.
