Idealist set a new life mark of 1:51.2 Sunday at Dover Downs.

With Vic Kirby in the bike, Bill and Barbara Kinsey’s Idealist battle front-pacing Braden down the lane and went past nearing the finish line of a 1:51.1 victory in the day’s feature race. The clocking is a new career best for the 10-year-old Western Ideal-Carolache gelding trained by Louise Kinsey. Camstock Lode (Ross Wolfenden) was a close third.

Among several longshot during the program, Rosemary Smutz’ Pegasus Point, a 10-1 shot, with George Dennis driving led off the card with a 1:57 score in a $6,500 Non-Winners trot. That set the stage for a 27-1 winner when Dialed In broke his maiden in a $6,500 Non-Win One pace with Vince Copeland driving for Dolly and Joanna Callahan in 1:58.3. Later Wainui Tabman N and Allan Davis won a 1:53.3 photo in a Delaware $7,000 Male Claiming pace for Garnet O’Marrow and Legacy Racing Of Delaware at 26-1 odds.

Ross Wolfenden had three winning drives and Allan Davis had a double.
