Ready Cash bounces back with Prix de France win
Sunday, February 10, 2013 - by Karsten Bønsdorf, USTA Newsroom Senior Correspondent

After his defeat in the Prix d’Amerique a fortnight ago, the French champion trotter Ready Cash with driver Franck Nivard managed to turn the tables over Royal Dream with Jean Philippe Dubois and won the Grand Prix de France raced over 1-5/16 miles Sunday afternoon (Feb. 10) at Vincennes.

Ready Cash won the 1-5/16-mile Prix de France in a 1:54.4 mile rate.

The race unfolded in many ways like last year, where Royal Dream won followed by Main Wise As and Ready Cash.

Today Royal Dream was again in command most of the trip; Ready Cash had cover on the outside.

But this year Ready Cash fought so bravely down the stretch, that Royal Dream couldn’t resist and Ready Cash won by a half a length timed in 1:54.4 (mile rate).

The purse for the winner was $265,000.

Jean Philippe Dubois got some consolation as his 4-year-old mare, Vision Intense, won the Prix Centaur under saddle race, with a purse for the winner of $160,000.
