Selections for Friday night (2/8) - The USTA $100k World Harness Handicapping Championship FREE Qualifier at Northfield Park:

Race 1

2- Firstclassflight (2-1) Was the winner in her most recent effort and looks to be able to repeat tonight even though she is facing tougher. 

Alternate Selection: 6- Rockratese (5-2)

Race 2 

6- Coupon Lady (3-1) Looks to be in solid form.  She just finished second from post-7 in her most recent effort and could score tonight from the 6-hole.  She can leave or come from behind and her versatility should really work to her advantage tonight.

Alternate Selection: 4- The Sweet Dion (9-2)

Race 3

4- I Think Im Dreamin (3-1) Has consecutive victories and looks to get a threepeat tonight.  She is facing the same class that she has beaten two weeks in a row. 

Alternate Selection: 7- Dont Need A Gun (9-2)

Race 4 

2- Our Little Filly (3-1) Has been drawing poorly and getting bad trips; could win tonight if her racing luck improves.  This is an evenly matched field and many could do well.  This is a tough call but Marts gets a slight call over the competition.

Alternate Selection: 9- Carmelita’s Girl (7-2)

Race 5 

1- Mephisto Waltz (3-1) Was victorious in her most recent effort; draws the rail and looks to repeat that victory tonight.  She is stepping-up in class but, especially from the rail, looks to be able to handle the new competition.

Alternate Selection: 2- Mcardle Direct (6-1)

Race 6

4- Towner’s Greatlady (4-1) Has tactical gate speed and could use that speed to receive a favorable trip.  She looks to land on the lead or in the pocket and could snag the victory.  She could also be better odds than the projected 4-1 and give her backers a boost.

Alternate Selection: 2- Katies Dreamboat (5-2)

Race 7

9- Haley Louise (3-1) Has been on the ticket in two of her last three races; should get a good trip and looks to lead the ticket tonight.  She has some back class and typically faces better.  This mare should be rock-solid at this level of competition.

Alternate Selection: 1- Miss HKB (7-2)

Race 8

1- Dr Barbs Dreamboat (5-2) Draws into an evenly matched field; gets the rail and that could be the deciding factor as to who will win.  She shows the ability to win in here but will have to rebound from her most recent poor performance.

Alternate Selection: 7- Janewayne (8-1)

Race 9

5- Dappers Flash (2-1) Dropped to this level last time but was parked-out and made a break; looks to be a different story tonight.  She shows credible lines against better and was a disappointing favorite in her most recent effort.  Does not look to disappoint the public tonight.

Alternate Selection: 3- Bashful Interlude (4-1)

Race 10

3- Arion (5-2) Had two wins in a row before her equipment broke; looks to be in front tonight so long everything holds together.  She typically does better on the lead but may be forced to sit the pocked behind #2.

Alternate Selection: 2- Sand Latte’ (7-2)

Race 11

1- Doowrah Silver (5-2) Has two runner-up finishes in a row; draws the rail tonight and looks to be able to grab the top-prize.  This mare has been racing very consistently and has hit the board is five of her last six races. 

Alternate Selection: 2- Liveandinconcert (7-2)

Race 12

1- Fast Attack (5-2) Draws the rail; could be the benefactor by facing soft competition and getting a good trip.  This is the top-pick in this race but only receives a mere slight nod over the competition.

Alternate Selection: 3- Whats Your Fantasy (7-2)

Race 13

2- Bridge The Magic (5-2) Dropped to this class last time but drew post-7; could have a winning story with the improved post draw.  Another gets a shaky call in a race where the top-pick does not really have to win.

Alternate Selection: 3- Kathleens Princess (7-2)

Race 14

1- Jessies Band (5-2) Drops in class, draws the rail, shows a win in this class and looks to be able to score again.  2013 leading driver Chris Page should help the cause.

Alternate Selection: 5- She’s All Country (7-2)

Race 15

3- Queenies Alibi (5-2) Was a winner in her first start off of a layoff and should even be better tonight.  If this mare races to her potential picking this race is like covering the “Free Space” on a Bingo board.

Alternate Selection: 2- Theta Blue Chip (4-1)
