Northfield, OH --- On Friday (Feb. 8), Northfield Park will host the seventh leg of the USTA's World Harness Handicapping Championship Free, Online Qualifying Series. The series, featuring 10 different tracks, is free to enter. The winner earns an entry ($1,000 value) into the $100,000 World Harness Handicapping Championship Final at the Meadowlands, to be held Saturday (April 13).
Contestants who would like to register for the qualifying leg can do so at www.horsetourneys.com. Entries for this online contest are limited to the first 1,250 handicappers on a first-come, first-served basis and are available now.
For Friday’s Northfield contest, each handicapper will select one horse and an alternate in case of a late scratch for a $2 win and $2 place wager on each race. All online selections need to be submitted prior to post time of the first race.
Northfield has 15 filly and mare pacing events scheduled for the Friday night program with first race post time of 6:30 p.m. (EST). Contestants will receive Free TrackMaster Platinum Past Performances for the entire Northfield card at www.horsetourneys.com.
