He’s Spooky scares off the competition at Dover
Dover, DE --- He’s Spooky rushed through the passing lane to catch the front-trotting Green Day in the last two strides in track record time for an older male trotter -- 1:53.2 -- at Dover Downs on Wednesday Jan. 30.

The win was the third in a row for He’s Spooky, owned by Howard Taylor, Alan Kaplan, L.A. Express Stable and Rojan Stables and trained by meet leader Mike Hall of the Doug Lewis Stable. The Cantab Hall--Yankee Topaz 6-year-old won for the third time in five starts in the New Year. He has now won $298,474 in his career.
Jim Morand had a driving triple. Corey Callahan, Jim Morand and Brad Hanners had two wins apiece, while Jon Roberts collaborated with owner-trainer Bobby Glassmeyer on a double.

Northfield Park
Instant Glide trotted home for her fourth straight win on Wednesday in Northfield Park’s ninth race. The 5-year old is owned and trained by Deborah DeWolfe of Richwood, Ohio. Robert Dinning has been aboard Instant Glide for the last three victories and driver JD Wengerd started the mare on her win streak. Wednesday’s triumph in 2:01.4 increased Instant Glide’s (Master Glide-Impact Red-SJ’s Photo) lifetime wins tally to 11 and her earnings to $15,830. Her 2013 undefeated season is back on the line as she drew post three in Northfield Park’s opening race on Monday (Feb. 4).
