Wilton, CA --- Humming Strings p,5,1:57.2f ($16,503) died Monday morning (Jan. 28) at the Desomer farm in Wilton, at the age of 20, of natural causes.
Humming Strings was a producer of offspring who earned mopre than $1 million, with such progeny as Stringtowner p,6,1:51.2f ($492,149), Ridgeline p,4,1:51 ($296,918), Widowmaker p,4,1:52.4 ($134,639) and Stanza p,4,1:53.2 ($63,548).
Strings, as she was known, was a grand old mare. She had a lot of nice foals, was easy to work with and a very easy keep. It didn’t matter who you bred her to, she always produced a race horse. She had a great home with the Desomers and she will be missed.
Humming Strings was in foal to Disco Devil p,5,1:50.2s ($191,377) by Artsplace when she died.
