Three straight for Do Me Honor at Meadows

Washington, PA --- Headed approaching the final turn, Do Me Honor fought back and claimed a narrow victory -- her third straight -- in Tuesday’s $20,000 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.

Despite a parked-out first quarter in 27.1, Do Me Honor was on the lead when she encountered a first-over challenge from Tremor Hanover, who inched ahead. But Do Me Honor dug in for Aaron Merriman and defeated her game rival by a nose in 1:54.1. Lady Ashlyn rallied for show.

Bill Bercury trains and owns Do Me Honor, a 5-year-old daughter of Cheyenne Rei-Do Me Right who now boasts $254,588 in career earnings.

Brett Miller drove three winners on the 15-race card. Live racing at The Meadows resumes Wednesday, first post 12:55 p.m.
