On Tuesday (Jan. 22), Northfield Park will be offering a $10,000 guaranteed pool in the Pick-4. The Pick-4 has a reduced takeout rate of just 14 percent and starts in the eighth race.

Analysis:

Race 8: (2) Samovar Hanover sees Blodgett hand the lines to Wrenn and looks for some results. (4) Worries Stay Small has a big shot to do well.

Race 9: (3) Successful Venture shows being competitive at this level of competition; could be more than competitive tonight. (9) Up Front Carl should get a good trip from the second tier.

Race 10: (2) Diamonds Revenge draws into a softer division than he has faced since coming to Cleveland and could prevail. (5) Call Me Surely has good gate speed; should be forwardly placed early and still be there late. (9) Drew Bromac N should get a good trip and could strike tonight.

Race 11: (3) Wumizoomi makes his third start off of a layoff and has every reason to improve. (4) Rare Commodity dropped to this class last time but drew post eight; should have a better showing from the four hole.
