Columbus, OH --- A law which permitted Illinois residents to use advanced deposit wagering accounts has expired because of its "sunset" provision and inaction by the Illinois Legislature, which needed to renew it, but couldn't muster enough votes for passage before Jan. 1, 2013. The law will have to be passed by the new legislature if it is to be continued, but that cannot happen until February.
