Columbus, OH --- At the December meeting of the Ohio State Racing Commission, Chairman Robert K. Schmitz announced the date, time and place of the commission’s next monthly meeting.

It will be held Jan. 10, 2013, at 10 a.m. in Room 1960 of the Riffe Center, located at 77 S. High St. in Columbus.

One agenda item is already set: A hearing on the proposed facilities at the new Lebanon Raceway.

Facilities can mean grandstand seating, accommodations for horsemen and horses, the racing surface or almost anything else related to any amenity.

“Everyone will have an opportunity to appear before the commission and express opinions,” Schmitz said after the commission approved two resolutions related to the Lebanon Raceway relocation.

He added that the commission will schedule similar hearings in future months because of the relocations of two other racetracks -- Beulah Park to the Youngstown area and Raceway Park to the Dayton area.
