Yonkers, NY --- Margaret "Margie" Vance, 79, the wife of Paul Vance and mother of trainer Joe Vance, has died.

She is also survived by her children, Paula and Connie. Mrs. Vance was the matriarch of the family and its nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She loved attending the horsemen’s year-end celebrations during the heydays of Roosevelt Raceway.

She will be waked Tuesday (Nov. 20) at Vernon Wagner Funeral Home at 125 W. Old Country Road, Hicksville, NY 11801. Further details can be obtained from the home at 516.935.7100. Burial will be at Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury, NY.
