Retired gelding adds to his honors Saturday, November 17, 2012 - Norinne "Nonni" Hilchey Daly, Ed.D., Adj. Assistant Professor - Animal & Veterinary Science - University of Maine
Old Town, ME --- 12-year-old retired Standardbred, Bruizer's L'il Star, continues to show the pleasure world that this breed can do it all. In his fourth year under saddle, he has received year-end recognition from different pleasure groups in his home state of Maine over the past three years and this year was no exception.

Bruizer's L'il Star placed second in the Maine state Senior Elementary Level (2 foot jumps).
The Maine Combined Training Association conducts horse trial competitions all over the state and horses compete in three phases: dressage, cross-country and stadium jumping. There are differing levels, depending on the horse's training and the height jumped.
Bruizer's L'il Star placed second in the state at Senior Elementary Level (2-foot jumps) and to our knowledge was the only Standardbred competing, let alone winning, in state horse trials.
Owned by Norinne Daly, an Animal & Veterinary Science faculty member at the University of Maine, Bruizer's L'il Star is a Full Circle member and just converted his registration to Pleasure Horse -- he certainly has earned that designation very well.
