Toronto, ON --- Eight 3-year-old filly pacers were entered Monday morning (Oct. 3) for the OSS Gold elimination scheduled to be contested on Thursday (Oct. 6) at Woodbine Racetrack.

The OSS rules state that if there are not more horses entered in the elimination than can compete in the final, the elimination will be cancelled and all horses will be considered declared directly into the final to be held the following week.

Therefore, the Gold elimination for 3 year-old filly pacers scheduled for Oct. 6 at Woodbine Racetrack is cancelled. The C$40,000 purse for the Gold elimination will be added to the regular purse for the final, making a total Gold final purse for this event of C$170,000.

The Gold final will be held on Thursday (Oct. 13) as scheduled and the post positions will be drawn on Thursday (Oct. 6), when the final would normally have been drawn.

According to OSS rules concerning the points for the Super Final, the 100 points from the cancelled elimination will be distributed equally between the eight horses that entered the event.

The field for the final (in alphabetical order): Athenas Legacy, Camille, Imagine Semalu, Modern Connection, Monkey On My Wheel, Patsys Luck, Village Janus and Waasmula.
