Sacramento, CA --- The two-day all source handle for Cal Expo Harness Racing Association for March 25 and 26 approached the $2 million mark for the first time in over a year. The total handle was $1,889,398, with $918,972 going through the windows on Friday and $970,426 wagered on Saturday.

“These totals are a testament to how hard the horsemen are working to fill the races,” said Cal Expo Director of Racing David Elliott. “The average per-race handle of $67,479 for 28 races was topped by the Saturday Late Pick 4 pool of over $29,000.

“We are hopeful we can close out the meet in the next 2-1/2 months with relatively consistent handle figures.”
