Trotters and filly pacers also in big events at Mohawk

Freehold, NJ --- Mohawk Racetrack will host two elimination races for the C$600,000 Elegantimage Stakes for 3-year-old filly trotters on Friday, June 18, plus elims for the C$400,000 Goodtimes Trot for 3-year-old trotters and the C$680,000 Fan Hanover Stakes for 3-year-old filly pacers on Saturday, June 19.

The first Elegantimage elim features Casual Breeze Stakes division winners Poof She’s Gone and Action Broadway. Poof She’s Gone was voted the sport’s best 2-year-old filly trotter in 2009 and has two wins in three starts this season. Action Broadway is 2-for-2 this year and won her Casual Breeze split by 5-1/4 lengths in a Canadian record 1:52.4.

Also in the first elim is Jesse’s Messenger, who went off stride in her Casual Breeze division and was defeated for the first time in her career. She entered the race a perfect 10-for-10. Completing the Elegantimage elim field are Wilsonator, Ipromisenottotell, Celebrity Spirit, Perfect Chance, Bar Slide, Ellen’s Isle and Exquisitelycrafted.

The second Elegantimage elim features Ultimate Cameron, who picked up her second career win in 10 starts by taking a division of the Casual Breeze. Tequila Slammer, who last year won a Bluegrass Stakes division and was third in the Breeders Crown, also is in the elim, along with Pennsylvania star Bone A Fide. Completing the field are Emmylou Who, Bramalea Hanover, Celebrity Madonna, Fortunes Dream, Oaklea Samantha, Highland Strikes and Random Destiny.

Three elimination races will be needed for the Goodtimes Trot. The first elim, in post position order, is Windsun Galaxie, Jetblue Volo, Priority Photo, Zorgwijk Kingpin, Grumpy Jake, Quantum Antonio, Onmyagame, Hard Cider, and Oh No It’s Steveo. The second elim is Newport Volo, Rock Hollywood, Windsong Geant, Look Closer, I’ve Got It All, Text Me, Call The Warden, Victor’s Future, and Rodeo. The final elim is Brother Glide, Beer League, Lorenzo Dream, Sailaway Dream, Southwind Voltage, The First Time, Sing Jesse Sing, and Adrion Dream.

The Fan Hanover also will see three eliminations. The first elim is Cowboys Dreamer, Warm Waffles, Bay Girl, Naughtytiltheend, Seriously, You See LA, Put On A Show, and Brushstrokes. The second elim is Fancy Filly, Lets Go Get Em, Major Girl, Tiz To Dream, A Pippin Hanover, Rock N Soul, Native Doll, and Ticket To Rock. The third elim is Hawks Cry Electra, Windsong Grand Ave, Fbs Terror, Western Silk, A And Gs Princess, Panagler, and Siri Hanover.

Fancy Filly was voted last season’s best 2-year-old filly pacer and is 3-for-3 this year, including a win in the James M. Lynch Memorial Stakes at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs. Put On A Show, who was runner-up to Fancy Filly in the year-end voting, also is 3-for-3 this season and coming off a win in the Thomas D’Altrui Miss New Jersey Stakes at the Meadowlands. Western Silk has been a standout on the Ontario Sire Stakes circuit.
