Wilkes-Barre, PA --- Tomahawk Sakra rallied past tiring leaders late to pull off a stunning upset in the $25,500 May Flowers Pacing Series Final for 3- and 4-year-old colts and geldings on Monday afternoon at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.

The 4-year-old gelding from the barn of owner-trainer Stacy Chiodo of Jackson, N.J. managed to hang on to the rail while the 1-2 favorite, DVC Done Good, got caught three-wide early in a bid to get the lead.

In the stretch, driver Mark Gingrich swung Tomahawk Sakra from third on the rail to the outside, and he rolled on past to win by one length in a career-best time of 1:53.2. Full Of Heart finished second and DVC Done Good settled for third.

Tomahawk Sakra, who went off at 18-1, picked up just his third lifetime win, and his first win this year. He now has lifetime earnings just shy of $38,000.
