Freehold, NJ - Harness racing driver Catello Manzi, 56, won the 12,000th race of his career today in the second race at Freehold (NJ) Raceway.  Manzi drove Crimson Dynamo, a three-year-old who'd never won a race before, to victory in 2:01 for win number 12,000.

Known as "Catman" to fans, Manzi has won at least 400 races a year since 2000; last year he won a career-high 727 races.  Manzi has $117.2 million in career purse earnings.  He'll look to add to that total with three drives in Saturday's Breeders Crown races at Woodbine Racetrack near Toronto.  He'll pilot Xactly Hanover in the $600,000 race for two-year-old trotting colts, Artistic Fella, a supplement in the $610,000 race for three-year-old pacing colts and Olay Olay in the $600,000 two-year-old pacing colt race.
